Back in the summer of 2016, we partnered with award winning Catoctin Creek Distillery to launch our line of barrel aged beers. Using their Rye Whiskey Charred Oak Barrels, our wood-aging dreams became a reality with the release of our first barrel aged beer, Cavallo. Since then, we have been experimenting with wood-aging from pumpkin ales, dry hopped sours, bourbon barrel-aged heavy hitters, and our acclaimed Grandsire Belgian Quad. Whether you have tasted our barrel aged beers or not, you have never experienced it like you will on our new Barrel-Aged Tour. In the hands of an expert guide, you will spend an hour getting up close and personal with our barrel collection and learn not just how we age beer on wood, but why.
