5. Sustainable Practices
Stable Craft Brewery originally started as an operational horse farm, so we care deeply about sustainability and green practices! Some of these include growing fresh herbs for our kitchen, planting over 1,000 trees and shrubs on the property, growing our own hops, zero-food waste composting with the bokashi method, donating our spent grain from brewing to local farmers for cattle feed, and practicing water reclamation. Stable Craft Brewing offers unique brewery tours where you can learn all about our many sustainable initiatives that led to us being named Virginia’s Green Brewery of the Year, three years in a row.

Stable Craft Brewing is open year-round and each season features its own distinct virtues, flavors and atmosphere! Spring is the perfect time to check out the fresh hop fields and peach orchard while tasting the fresh seasonal flavors of our bistro-style menu. Listen to live outdoor music and enjoy weekly cider releases throughout the summer! Stroll around the farm and revel in autumn’s beautiful foliage as you grab a pint and visit the ponies or challenge your friends to a round of cornhole golf.
